MS River field trip

At the end of September, our fifth and sixth grade students had an exciting opportunity to go on a field trip exploring our local Mississippi River!! They went canoeing on the MS River with the Quapaw Canoe Company, run by John Ruskey. Students learned team work skills as they paddled together, enjoyed God's beautiful creation, and learned about many of the problems facing our local river. Both classes collected rock & water samples that will be tested later in science lab. Thank you Mr. Ruskey!! We LOVE field trips at PDS!

3rd grade play

3rd grade students performed our first play of the year this morning - Fall before God. We are so proud of their hard work in learning their lines and all the many songs! Thank you for reminding us who makes the season change.

6th grade is going 1 to 1 in the classroom

The 1-to-1 Chromebook program is intended to create a collaborative learning environment for all learners. This environment enables the use of technology and promotes the development of self-directed, responsible lifelong learners and users. The Chromebooks allow a more personalized learning approach in meeting individual student needs. Students will move from consumers of information to creative producers and owners of knowledge. We are so excited to offer this program to our sixth grade students!!

Solar Eclipse 2017

"The heavens declare the glory of God: the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Psalm 19:1 God's creation is totally amazing!! We heard lots of oohs and aahs from our students this afternoon. We are so thankful to Dr. Humber at Clarksdale Vision Center for supplying us with glasses for our 1st-6th grade students. It was an awesome experience for us all. One that they'll never forget!

Chapel is back!

We were all SO EXCITED that chapel day was finally here! SO good to be back! Our theme for the year is "God is a promise keeper". We are learning that God is forever faithful and He never fails!
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
Hebrews 10:23

First day of school

SUMMER EXPLORE CAMPS

It is time for summer fun!  We have tried to provide a variety of classes for all ages, so give one or two a try!  The classes will be here at PDS.  Please register by filling out the form and bringing or mailing it in along with the money.  It will be a first come basis.  The classes are based on the grade your child will be in when they return to school in August.  Anyone may attend so invite a friend!

Griot, Carnegie Public Library, and The Extension Center have some fun activities this summer too, so no reason to be a couch potato!

****Please sign up for classes the week before the class begins.****
