PDS makes American history come alive for our fifth and sixth grade students. Why do we study history? What part does God play in history? These were two of the questions we started the year discussing. The students jumped into the 21st century by learning how technology and the events in this century have shaped the world they live in. Next, we studied the Gulf War and the war in Afghanistan. Ty Jenkins, a father of PDS fifth-grader Delilah Jenkins, came and told about his time in Afghanistan.
